BECOMING JOHNNY B
I've always loved Music. My Parents will testify that I'm the entertainer of the family. I grew up enjoying the songs of years gone by and famous voices of artists such as Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye & Aretha Franklin to name a few. Once I reached my mid teens I started listening to the music of Elvis Presley and like so many millions around the world.. I'm so glad I did!
At the age of 17 I was Privileged to visit 'Graceland' the World Famous home of Elvis in Memphis, Tennessee. Whilst walking through the hallways and beautifully decorated rooms it was here that I realised why Elvis is called the King.
From poverty to fame & superstardom I could see that Elvis Presley wasn't just a man...he was an Icon. A Legend that touched hearts through his music and Electrifying live performances. Inspiring generations of Musicians young & old year after year.

Four years on I find myself performing at an Open Mic night at the Fiddlers Elbow in Brighton.
I chose to sing and play on Guitar two Elvis songs that night. Doing my best Elvis Vocal I sang:
1. Marie's The Name (Of His latest Flame)
2.Girl Of My Best Friend
My two favourite Elvis Records at the time. To my surprise those in attendance loved what they heard. It was at this moment Johnny B Memphis was born. Years later I decided to become an Elvis Tribute Artist focusing On Performing at Weddings and Charity events.
Since then I have performed my 'Vegas years' show at Weddings across the South of England. I strive to offer an Authentic Elvis Experience for all in attendance. First and foremost as an Entertainer to see people happy, smiling and enjoying themselves - that's the aim. There's nothing better.
If they're singing the songs of Elvis Presley, that's the icing on the cake.
